Lamin-koto FC lift Jarumeh-koto nawetan final

Lamin-koto FC over the weekend beat Sansanding FC 3-1 to lift the Nawetan trophy organized by the Jarumeh-koto Youths and Sports Committee in the Central River Region.

Gibi Jasseh scored a brace for Lamin-koto FC while Foday Suso sealed the victory.

Sansanding FC consolation goal was netted by Foday Danso.

As winner, Lamin-koto FC went home with a trophy and a cash prize of D3, 500 while runners-up, Sansanding FC, collected a consolation prize of D2, 500.

The third place could not be determined due to the set-settal, as a result of which the two teams (Jarumeh-koto FC and Bani FC) that were supposed to play in the third place game were given each a cash prize of D750.

Alieu Jasseh commonly known as Saja emerged as leading goal scorer of the tournament, that brought together ten villages and was played in Jarumeh-koto village.

The kick off for the final, which was attended by over five thousand people, was taken by Dr. Sheriff Ceesay.
