The Kombo South District Sports Committee (KSSC) last Saturday embarked on a day-long familiarisation tour with sports associations in the district.
The tour was led by the vice-chairman of Kombo South District Sports Committee, Ensa Jawara, accompanied by his executive members.
Speaking at a meeting with Tanji Youth Sports committee at the Tanji Community Centre, Mr Jawara said the tour was to meet sports associations to discuss development issues regarding the associations.
“The tour seeks to help in developing sport in the district, particularly football,” the committee said.
The chairman of Tanji Village Development Committee, Almamy Jammeh, applauded KSSC for embarking on a tour of sports associations across the length and breath of Kombo South.
Mr Jammeh added that the move would also go a long way in cementing the unity and understanding among the youths of Kombo South.
Speaking on behalf of his father, the alkalo of Tanji village, Lamin Bojang, thanked KSSC for the tour to all villages in Kombo, noting that it would greatly improve sport in Kombo South.
