Kombo South District tournament roundup

The 2012-2013 Kombo South District football tournament meant to foster unity and understanding among youths as well as nurture young talents in the district, continued to gain momentum at the weekend.

This followed their disappointed 4-1 defeat to Kombo East in the West Coast Region third division qualifiers recently.

Defending champions Sifoe advanced to the semi-final in the 2012-2013 Kombo South district tournament following their 3-1post-match penalty shootout win over Tanji, after a 1-1draw in the regulation time in their quarterfinal clash played at Jambanjelly Football Field on Sunday.

In a similar development, Kulukochi United FC and Nyokoyorr FC are through to the final in the Gunjur Knockout competition after winning their semi-final game at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field at the weekend.

Kulukochi United sailed to the final after a 1-0 win over Turkey United FC in the semi-final game played on Sunday 30 December 2012, while Nyokoyorr FC progressed to the final their opponent Manchester United FC were unable to have complete 11 and committee has decided to award victory to Nyokoyorr FC.
