Kombo South District Sports Committee will hold its extra-ordinary congress, which is slated for Saturday 20 December 2014 at the Kaira Suu Hall in Jambanjelly.

Each affiliated village is mandated to send in two delegates for the congress, preferably a male and a female.

The delegates will adopt the constitution, and also elect the chairperson, assistant secretary and a few more co-opted members.

It would be recalled that the chairperson of the committee, Lamin Janneh, passed away a few months ago after a brief illness.

Meanwhile, Sifoe clinched the 2014 Kombo South district football tournament held in memory of two former great players, the late Kajali Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi, after beating Tanji 1-0 in a well-contested finals game played at the Jambanjelly football field.

Solifo Investment FC winger wizard Ousman Sawaneh netted the only goal for Sifoe in the second half to retain the district’s biggest and most prestigious football tournament title for the third time in a row.
