Kombo Kerewan and Busumbala on Friday snatched their first wins in the 2015-2016 West Coast Regional third division league after defeating Brikama and Sanchaba Sulay United in their week-three fixtures.
Kombo Kerewan beat Brikama 1-0 at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium, while Busumbala defeated Sanchaba Sulay Jobe United on the same score-line at the Dembadou Mini Stadium in Sukuta to recover in contention for promotion to the second tier next season.
On the other hand, Gunjur United have maintained their hundred percent record in the 2015-2016 West Coast Regional third tier after thrashing Greater Tomorrow 3-0 at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field on the same day.
Gunjur United opened the scores through winger Mbemba Fatty alias Andres Iniesta in the opening minute of the game from penalty spot after Simon Bass aka Super changa was brought down inside the eighteenth-yard box to give his side the lead.

Midfielder Salifu Bapa Bojang sealed victory mid-away into the game from an astonishing long-range strike to earn Gunjur United a comfortable 3-0 over the Brikama-based outfit.
The visitors reacted quickly for an equalizer and created some goal-scoring opportunities but could not break through Gunjur United’s solid defence thus the game ended 3-0 in favour of Gunjur United.
The victory has earned Gunjur United top spot in the 2015-2016 West Coast Regional third division league after winning their two opening league matches with a game in hand against Kombo Kerewan.
Kombo Kerewan are third-place with 4 points in two league matches with a game in hand against Gunjur United, while Busumbala are with 3 points in two league matches with a game in hand against Fortune.
Sanchba Sulay Jobe United and Greater Tomorrow are each with 2 points in three games played and are hoping to recover in their next league matches after losing to Busumbala and Gunjur United.
