Kombo
East Super Nawettan team Saturday defeated Brufut 2-0 in the quarterfinal game
played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium to sail to the semifinal of the 2019
Super Nawettan.
The
Kombo East boys, who were unbeaten in the group phase of the tournament, scored
two brilliant goals without Brufut replying to progress to the last four of the
yearly football championship for the first time in their history.
They
slipped to Gunjur by 3-0 in the 2017 super Nawettan quarterfinal match played
at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
Brufut
will now wait until next year after their exit from the annual football fiesta
following their quarterfinal defeat to Kombo East.
