The Women Kafo of Kombo Central in the Western Region on Monday 3rd August 2009 disbursed one hundred and twenty-two thousand Dalasi to 22 women groups in Kombo Central in the Western Region, at a ceremony held at Brikama Youth Centre.
This follows a fund-raising show with Jaliba Kuyateh by the group, which generated an amount of one hundred and seventeen thousand Dalasi.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Lady Councillor in Kombo Central, Siffai Hydra expressed her continuous support to the women of Kombo Central.
Women, she added, contribute meaningfully to national development and thus urged them to make the best use of the loan.
Mr. Lamin Sanneh, the Governor of Western Region, said women play a pivotal role in the development of the country. He assured them that his office would continue to support them whenever the need arises.
The ceremony was graced by the Chief of Kombo Central, Dembo Santang Bojang, ward councillors and local dignitaries.
