The Police football team has made a spectacular start to the KMC Mayor Tournament after thrashing Market 3-1 in their opener at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium recently.
Elsewhere, Annex were held to a goalless draw by Licence/Debt Department in a well contested game in group A at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium that same day.
The Police are currently leading group A with 3 points in one game while Market are rooted at the bottom of group A with a single point in two outings.
Annex top group A with 4 points in two games while Licence/Debt Department are rooted at the bottom of group A with only 1 point in one outing.
The tournament is organised in memory of Alhajie Badou Jasseh, aka Uncle Badou, former chairman of the Gambia Football Referees Committee, who passed away last month after a brief illness.
