Kingston F.C Clinch Omar Ceesay Trophy

Kingston F.C of KabaKamaVillage in Upper River Region Basse were crowned champions of the Chairman Omar Sompo Ceesay tournament, organised by Kaba Kama Youth and Sport Development Association KYSDA.

The final, which was played at Kaba Kama Football Field, last Sunday, witnessed a thrilling encounter between the two formidable teams.

The 90 minutes of the march ended in stalemate and in the post-match penalty shootout both teams failed to convert their spot kicks in the first five shots.

The referee declared sudden death and Kingston F.C emerged victorious by scoring their spot kick.

As champions Kingston FC went home with D800 and a giant trophy while Pick and Choose received D600 as runners up, Birmingham received D300 for coming in third place.

The kick-off was taken by Mr. Pateh Baldeh of the Governors Office in URR and the prizes were presented to the winners by the sponsor of the tournament Mr. Omar Sompo Ceesay who double as the second vice - president of the GFA and Chairman Basse Area Council.
