Sports Football Club have been crowned champions of the 2008 Lamin Noran
football tournament last Sunday.
The championship, organised and co-ordinated by the Lamin Noraan committee, featured both Wayeto and K&G in the final. The game ended 3-1 after a post match penalty shoot out followed a goal less draw in the 90 minutes of play. K&G Sports, along with their opponents, put up a very good show during the encounter. The game was charaterised by bright and very promising talents and skills shown by players.
As champions, K&G went away with a giant, cash prize of D4,000 and 28 gold medals.
Wayeto West FC collected D3000 with 28 silver medals.
