Julangel opened the scores through Baboucarr Hydara in the 3rd minute of the game before Muhammed Hydara levelled the scores for Numuyel in the 43rd minute of the game to make it 1-all.
This pushed the game into a post-match penalty shootout which ended 4-3 in favour of Julangel.
Speaking to reporters shortly after the game, Julangel coach, Mr Terra, said he was glad to have guided his team to the semifinal.
Terra applauded his players for their “terrific performance” against Numuyel in their quarterfinal clash, noting that his target this year is to clinch the trophy.
Sulayman Camara of Numuyel accepted the defeat in good faith and promised that his team would perform well come next season.
Yankuba Sinera, secretary general of Soninkara Sports Development Association, said the association has been existing for the past six year under the dynamic movement of Sarahuleh Association for Changes and Development.
Sinera said the motive behind the formation of the association is to help the youth to achieve their objectives.
Sinera revealed further that the association’s aim is to support grassroots football in the country.
