Jola Kunda, who were absolutely consistent throughout the entire group and quarterfinal stages of the competition, made a woeful start to the game. In their semi-final clash they were outplayed and outclassed in the first half by Babylon.
Upon resumption of the game, Jola Kunda brought in several fresh legs to boost their attacking tag and their substitutions paid dividends when they notched two goals to secure a hard-fought 2-1 win over Babylon, who were leading in the first half, to earn a place in the competition.
Babylon’s lone goal in the first half only proved to be a consolation as they surrendered victory to Fancy Jola Kunda, who were absolutely brilliant in the second half and dominated Babylon in all departments in the field of play and finally carried the day.
The competition is organised in the memory of the late Mamudou Max Jallow, former Executive Secretary of the NSC, who passed away on 19 May 2013 after a brief illness.
