A driver called Ebrima Touray was Monday arraigned before Magistrate Jeng of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court, charged with rash and negligent act, causing death.
The particulars of offence read that the defendant, Ebrima Touray, on 8 November 2013, at Kacchumeh village, drove a motor vehicle with registration number BJL 4381H, in a rash and negligent manner, causing the death of one Edward Gomez.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D25,000 with two Gambian sureties who shall depose to an affidavit of means and deposit a valid biometric ID card with the court’s registrar.
The case continues on 2 December 2013.
