Two goals from Mustapha Jarju were enough to increase his goal tally to 15 during his side's 3-1 win over Lommel United at the weekend in the Belgian second division.
Lommel United dropped three points to Mons thanks to Mustapha Jarju's brace and Matthy's goal which has raised Mons to 50 points, cemented its 3rd position as well as reduced the gap between leaders to 10.
With just 10 minutes into the game, Jarjue broke the deadlock by sending Mons into the lead when the side quickly took control of the game.
Mons began the second act in the best manner of league leader Lommel United, by doubling the score immediately. Jarju found himself again at the right place at the right time to enter the double, 2-0 (his fifteen goal of the season).
With three minutes remaining, it was finally Matthy’s who deservedly changed the score-sheet to 3-0.
In stoppage time, Dufour benefited from inattention to defend Mons to 3-1, to the great misfortune of Mon's goalie, Berthelin, who was preparing to preserve inviolately the nets for the third straight game.
