Interior female volleyball team won the Super Cup final of The Gambia Volleyball Association volleyball league. They defeated Kanifing female side 3 sets to 0 to earn the title last Sunday in the GVBA Super Cup opening at the Manneh Sillah Memorial hall in Banjul.
The male category between Gorillas of Banjul and Interior male team could not reach completion due to the poor light system at the Manneh Sillah Memorial Court
. This resulted in the game been adjourned until next weekend. Gorillas won the first set of the game.
Musa Cassa Taal, President of The Gambia Volleyball Association, speaking to Pointsports, urged all interested clubs and teams to come forward for registration as the process is still open. He said the league will be rotational within the Greater Banjul Area.
Meanwhile, the fixture for the national volleyball league will be released later.
