The
2020 Gambia Teachers Cooperative Credit Union (GTCCU) sponsored Gambia
Secondary School Sports Association (GSSSA) inter-school athletics competition
is set to begin today, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The
annual championship will bring together Upper and Senior Secondary Schools
across the country to participate in various events.
Chairman
of Gambia Secondary Schools Sports Association (GSSSA) Ousman Kebbeh said the
annual competition will bring together over 900 athletes from70 schools both Upper
and Senior Secondary School across the country.
He
thanked Gambia Teachers Union Cooperative Credit Union (GTUCCU) for bankrolling
the championship, noting that without their intervention it would be very
difficult for them to stage the competition annually.
Alieu
Y. Cham, chairman of competition said athletics qualifier rules will be
followed perfectly.
Meanwhile,
the organizing committee of competition revealed the ticket prize for
championship recently; VIP is pegged at D100 covered pavilion D50 uncovered
pavilion D30.
