The Saamasang sponsored Kombo Central District inter-community female football tournament will get underway on Saturday, 18 December 2010, at the Marakisa Football Field.
Organised by the Kombo Central Sports District Committee (KCDS), the tournament is staged to enhance gender equity in development.
The five-team inter-community association female tournament is also meant to encourage female participation and their development in football at the grassroots.
Kabafita Community Association Female team, Penyem Community Association Female team, Dasilami Community Association Female team, Jamisa Community Association Female team and Bafuloto Community Association Female team are vying for the title.
Saturday’s opening will feature Dasilami Community Association Female side against the Penyem Community Female team.
Jamisa Community Association Female team will meet Kabafita Community Association Female team at the Mahaad Senior Secondary School playground on Sunday.
