Gambian international Demba Savage gave the Finnish giants the winner in Monday night’s HJK 1-0 win over his former club Honka at the Sonera Stadium.
Savage has so far made 27 appearances for HJK, and Monday’s goal was his eleventh for the reputable Finish highest top club, according to soccerway.com.
Savage scored the only goal of the game in the 50th minute. His celebration was overshadowed by a yellow card he collected in the 84th minute of the game.
HJK is now leading on 55 points, a single point ahead of Inter Turku, in 30 league matches.
