Gunjur Youth and Sports Development Association sanctions Nyokoyorr FC

Gunjur Youth and Sports Development Association (GYSDA) has banned Nyokoyorr FC one year after the latter invaded Gunjur Nyamina Football Field during the 2013-2014 Gunjur knockout semi-final tie between Gamcel FC and Kayoung Kalorn FC.

According to news emanating from the secretariat of GYSDA, Nyokoyorr FC players, the coaching staff and fans invaded Gunjur Nyamina Football Field, which resulted in the postponement of the 2013-2014 Gunjur Knockout semi-final match between Gamcel FC and Kayoung Kalorn FC.

According to article 11.1 of GYSDA rules and regulations, any team that brings the game into dispute during or after the match shall be punished as deemed fit by the committee.

In a separate development, GYSDA has given NAS FC up to 31 July 2014 to settle their D3,000 fine, failure to do so shall lead to two-year suspension from all GYSDA activities.

NAS FC were fined after their fan Demba N.K Darboe took a cutlass to Gunjur Nyamina Football field during NAS FC league quarterfinal game against Commit FC.
