Gunjur
zonal team recently ended a day-long trophy tour to villages in Kombo South,
after beating Banjul in a well-attended final game played at the Independence
Stadium in Bakau on 28 October 2016, to clinch their first-ever Super Nawettan
crown.
The
day-long trophy tour started in Kartong via Berending, Madina Salam Sifoe,
Kitty, Brikama and Jambanjelly to present the trophy to Alkalos and villages.
The
trophy tour was organised to express their appreciation to the villages in
Kombo South for their support to the team during 2016 FiBank-sponsored Super
Nawettan.
The
tour was also organised to strengthen the cordial relationship with villages in
Kombo South.
