Gunjur Youth Sports Development Association (GYSDA) has banned Manchester United FC for two years with a fine of D3,000 for assaulting GYSDA executive members after their 2-1 defeat to Alex Sanchaba FC in the 2013-2014 Gunjur Nawettan qualifiers played on 7July 2013 at the Nyamina Football Field.

Bunama Jatta, Ebrima Jammeh, Pa Ensa Jammeh, Lamin Jabang, Dawda Drammeh and Alagie Mamadou Touray were also banned from all GYSDA activities for one year on top of a fine of D1,000 for using abusive language against GYSDA executives following their recent Manchester United defeat to Alex Sanchaba FC in the summer biggest football showpiece qualifiers a fortnight ago.

GYSDA executives said they had advised the teams, players and fans to maintain discipline and tolerance during the 2013-2014 Nawettan season to avoid suspensions and fines. GYSDA is therefore calling for a trouble-free Nawettan season for 2013-2014.

Meanwhile, registration for the 2013-2014 GYSDA Nawettan is open with registration fees standing at D3, 000. Deadline for registration, according to the organizers, is 4 August 2013.

The winner of the league will receive D15, 000 and the runners-up will bag D10, 000, whilst D10, 000 is allocated for the knockout winner and D5, 000 for the knockout runners-up.

GYSDA also said the winner of the 2013 Super Cup final will receive D6, 000 and the runners-up D4, 000.
