Manchester United FC and World Eleven FC will face each other in this year’s Knockout final billed for Saturday, 1 January 2011, at the Gunjur playing ground at 4.30pm.
Both sides, newcomers in the Gunjur Nawetaan, have made very interesting and reputable performances which earned them a berth in the final show.
United had a disappointing league performance but bounced back in the knockout competition when they beat Lanuja FC 3-1 on penalties the first round, before going on to beat last year’s Knockout champions Gamcel FC and NAS FC 4-3 in the quarterfinal and semifinal respectively.
World Eleven FC reached the league semifinal but were beaten 3-1 by QCell FC.
They secured a place in the Knockout final after thrashing neighbours Santos United FC 3-0 in the quarterfinal.
They went on to beat QCell FC in the semi final 7-6 on post-match penalty shootout to make it to the final.
