Guinean nationals remanded for $30,000 theft

Kalifa Biabougue and Akoi Baibougue, both Guinean nationals, were on 22nd November 2010 remanded in custody pending the determination of the case.

The Guinean duo were arraigned at the Bundung Magistrates’ Court before Principal Magistrate Forster charged with conspiracy and stealing. Both denied the charges.

Count one of the particulars of offence stated that on 9th November 2010, at Wellingara in the Kombo North district of the West Coast Region, the accused persons conspired to commit an offence to wit stealing.

Count two revealed that on the same day and place, the accused persons jointly stole from one Sheikh Faal the sum of $30,000, being the property of the said Sheikh Faal.

The case was adjourned to 2nd December 2010.

Corporal 1883 Bojang represented the IGP.
