Malang Fatty who is based in the UK, but has a mobile recording studio, did the donation because of his personal love toward the show and the positive impact the show has in the industry.
Malang said: “I did this not because Gamvibes interviewed me and the artistes who worked under my label, but for their efforts to improve the industry as a whole. I’m not going to reveal how much the camera cost, but I know it’s a high quality HD camera and it can boast the show a lot. This show should not just be on radio, but should be watched by people. I will continue to support the industry in general in the little way I can.”
The presenter and producer of Gamvibes Info, Kebba Camara (DJ KEPZ), expressed delight and appreciation over the donation.
“It came as a surprise to us and we appreciate a lot. We will not disappoint Malang, and we will make sure we make good use of the camera. We will soon start uploading interviews and interesting issues on Gambian Vibes Online. Thanks so much Malang, and we urge others to emulate him,” Mr Gamvibes concluded.
