GPU congress slated for Sunday

The triennial congress of the Gambia Press Union (GPU) is slated for Sunday 26th June 2011 at the Gambia Telecommunications and Multimedia Institute (GTMI).

The congress, which was due since April this year, will be held after a two-day capacity-building training on 24 and 25 June.

Voting to elect new executive members to steer the affairs of the Union for the next three years will be held on Sunday.

A media release from the Union said yesterday that only paid-up members are eligible to vote and to be voted for at the congress.
