Gambia Ports Authority are set to clash with Sewe Sport of Ivory Coast in the
first leg of the 2017 CAF Champions league preliminaries on Sunday 12 February
2017, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4pm.

Ports Authority are sitting fourth-place in The Gambia’s top flight league with
13 points in nine league matches seven points behind current league leaders
Gambia Armed Forces, who have bagged 20 points in nine league matches.
The
Gambian champions under the guidance of coach Alagie Sarr, will be steering for
a positive result against Sewe Sport in the first leg in Banjul come Sunday to
increase their chances of reaching the second round prior to the return leg in
Abidjan in a fortnight’s time after the first leg in Banjul.
Sewe
Sports are currentlyleading Ivorian premier league with 19 points in nine
league matches one point ahead of second-spot ASEC Mimosa with 18 points in
nine league matches and five points ahead of third- and fourth-place Afad and
Moossou with 14 points each in nine league matches.
The
Ivorian side, on the other hand, will also contend for a good result against
Gambia Ports Authority in the first leg in Banjul come Sunday and finish the
work in the return leg in Abidjan a fortnight’s time after the first leg in
Banjul.
