The newly crowned champions of the 2009-10 Gambia Football Association (GFA) National Division One League Championship, GPA will meet Real de Banjul in the re-scheduled Week Eighteen fixtures today Wednesday 2nd June 2010, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium.

GPA, clinched the league title last week after closest rivals Wallidan lost to Armed Forces 2-1 in the Week Twenty-one fixtures last Thursday, at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda.

GPA will be hoping to bounce back after their disappointed narrow 1-0 defeat in the hands of Senegalese side Cassa Sport FC in the return leg of the WAFU Club Championship over the weekend, at the Serrekunda East Mini-stadium, resulting in their early exit in the championship.

Real de Banjul are in the mid table together with Bakau United, Seaview and Interior, all with 24 points. They need at least a victory or draw in order to avoid relegation to the Second Division, but if they lost that means they have to wait until the final day of the league.
