Gambia Ports Authority’s hope of retaining their 2015-2016 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league crown is in limbo after their 3-2 defeat to Hawks in the week-sixteen fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Sunday.

The ferry boys, who clinched the 2015-2016 Gambia Football Federation domestic division one league last season, are on the verge of losing their league title crown after slipping to Hawks at the weekend.

The victory has earned Hawks fourth-place in the league with 22 points in sixteen league matches.

Gambia Ports Authority are two places above safety with 14 points in thirteen league matches with two games in hand.

Brikama United dropped to fifth-place in the league after their goalless draw with Samger at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Marimoo beat Serrekunda United 1-0 at the Father Gough Sports Complex in Manjai Kunda to keep third-place in the league with 29 points in sixteen league matches.

Brikama United are now fifth with 21 points in sixteen league matches.

Samger are still struggling second-place from bottom in the league with 13 points in fifteen league matches.
