The Gambia Port Authority yesterday evening enjoyed a convincing 2-nil victory against Bakau United to register their second win in four league matches.
Goals from Kebba Bah and David Sambou were more than enough for the ferry boys to move to third place in 12-club championship with 7 points.
Coach Peter Bonu Johnson and his ferry boys that began the campaign with a deserved 2-1 win over Samger in week one fixtures proved a better side of the day owing to their brilliant attacking options and dominance in the game, which really paid dividend as they comfortably edged pass Bakau United to move to third place one adrift of Bakau giant killers Steve Biko who were held to a goalless draw against Samger yesterday to collect 7 points in four fixtures.
Elsewhere yesterday, Sea View and the promoted Interior side entertained each other to a hard fought 1-1 draw at the Father Gough sports complex in Manjai Kunda to wrap up the re-scheduled matches in week four fixtures.
The defeat is a major setback for Bakau United who only managed to collect a single win in as many matches, collecting five points in the process.
