Abdou F. M. Badjie, the Governor of Western Region, was last Thursday relieved of his post, The Point has learnt.
His assistant, Ms Sainabou Faal, is said to be overseeing the position.
This is the second time that Mr Badjie has been sacked as Governor of Western Region. He was first sacked before being reinstated in May 2006.
