The tennis boss said in an interview with The Point yesterday that the first point to take note of is that his camp is a new group of people who have nothing to do with the past dispute.
“It was Mr Dibba versus Aboulie Touray in the past, and Touray has since opted out of the race; only his former rivals in the present GNOC leadership remain in that old fray. My camp is new and independent of the old rivalry. I think this should be made clear,’’ he said.
He further stated that his group, are bona-fide national associations and, therefore, important stakeholders of the Gambia National Olympic Committee with all rights to vie for positions to correct things they deemed to be wrong in the management of the NOC.
‘We should not be associated or mistaken to be part of the old rivalry. That was between Dibba and Touray,’ he concluded.
