GNOC boxing coaching course ends

A ten-day Boxing Technical Level I coaching course for boxing coaches ended at the Friendship Hotel at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Friday.

The training, organised by the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) through Olympic Solidarity, brought together participants from the Gambia Boxing Association and clubs.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, National Sports Council executive secretary Mamudou Max Jallow applauded the course instructor, Abdullah Halabi, for his contribution and assistance during the course and also thanked GNOC for organizing the training.

Boxing is very domant in the country, Mr Jallow noted, while challenging the Gambia Boxing Association (GBA) to work hand in glove with clubs to take the discipline to higher heights, as well as organise competitions.

Jallow said the National Sports Council (NSC) is ready to support the GBA in their quest to realize their objectives.

While thanking the participants for their commitment during the course, he urged them to make best use of the knowledge gained from the course.

The president of the Gambia Boxing Association (GBA), Pa Alieu Jallow, thanked also the course instructor Abdullah Halabi for his support during the course and urged the participants to utilize the knowledge gained from the course.

Mr Halabi expressed appreciation with the participants for their commitment during the course.
