Speaking at the occasion, Mrs. Hannah C. Harding, the Principal of the school said that the success registered by the school over the years has been and remains to be a big challenge to the school.
Mrs. Harding thanked the entire academic, administrative and support staff of the school for their continuous and reliable support at all times, noting that the successes they celebrate each year are direct result of their collective team work. As she put it "without your co-operation, I would have had a very difficult task indeed."
According to Mrs. Harding, their academic programmes are tailored to satisfy the requirements of the country's basic education and the West African Senior Secondary School curriculum.
Others speakers included, Mrs. Patricia Ceesay, Rt. Rev. Norman A. Grigg, Bishop of the Methodist Church, The Gambia, Swetlana Kapoor, and the head girl of the school, who delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony was chaired by a member of the Board of Governors.
Academic awards and prizes were also given to deserving students, both in the junior and senior secondary schools; certificates of excellence for students with the best result in GABECE, May 2009 (aggregate 6), certificates of excellence for students with the best results in WASSCE, May 2009, as well as sports prizes for the most outstanding students in sports.
