The Gambia Methodist Academy on Friday 14th May 2010, held its 14th annual speech day and prize-giving ceremony, at a ceremony held at the school's grounds in Bakau.

Speaking at the occasion, Mrs. Hannah C. Harding, the Principal of the school said that the success registered by the school over the years has been and remains to be a big challenge to the school.

Mrs. Harding thanked the entire academic, administrative and support staff of the school for their continuous and reliable support at all times, noting that the successes they celebrate each year are direct result of their collective team work. As she put it "without your co-operation, I would have had a very difficult task indeed."

Others speakers included, Mrs. Patricia Ceesay, Rt. Rev. Norman A. Grigg, Bishop of the Methodist Church, The Gambia, Swetlana Kapoor, and the head girl of the school, who delivered the vote of thanks. The ceremony was chaired by a member of the Board of Governors.
