The first-ever handball zonal championship is part of the Gambia Handball Association’s efforts to bring the discipline to the doorstep of Gambians.
The championship is expected to bring together 12 recognized major handball zones in the country, and is meant to promote and develop handball in the country.
The Gambia Handball Association will hold a series of meetings with the zones to prepare well for this first-ever zonal handball championship set for next month, and will be hoping for a successful championship.
