The items donated were goalpost nets, two trophies and six Fifa certified and approval match balls to the beneficiaries.
North Bank Regional Football Association received a set of goalpost nets and two match balls to help the northerners to kick-start their regional league.
The other recipients of the GFF’s generosity and benevolence is the West Coast Region Football Academies Association who went home with four match balls and two trophies to support their ongoing 18-team U15 academy tournament in Brikama.
Speaking on the occasion, the GFF boss Kaba Bajo underscored the importance regional and academy football plays in the overall promotion and development of soccer in the country.
Mr Bajo further stated that the gesture was motivated by the giant strides made by the beneficiaries over the years.
The GFF boss urged the recipients to make good use of the donated materials.
Abass Bah, Secretary General of the GFF, praised Bajo for spearheading what he described as a commendable action.
In receiving the gifts on behalf of NRBFA and WCRFAA, both Messrs Sarr and Sanyang lauded the GFF for what they considered as a timely and telling donation to their institutions and assured that “the gifts will be jealously guarded and put into good use”.
