GFF Domestic Division 1 League fixtures released

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) has released the fixtures for the 2014-2015 domestic division one league.

On Sunday 21 January 2014, the newly-promoted Serrekunda United will clash with Bakau at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium, in the league opening games.

Bakau United finished mid-table last season and will be fighting for a win against Serrekunda United to fancy their title ambitions.

Serrekunda United will aiming for victory against Bakau to boost their hopes of staying in the top flight season.

Brikama United will host Interior at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium. The Sateyba boys finished in fourth place last season, and will be searching for a win against the security outfit to grab the vital three points.

Interior finished mid-table last season, and will be looking for victory and the maximum points.

Elsewhere, Wallidan will play against Hawks in an all-Banjul derby clash at Banjul’s KG5 Mini Stadium on the same day.

Wallidan and Hawks will be vying for a win each, to secure the vital three points in order to keep their hopes alive.

On Tuesday 23 December 2014, reigning league champions Real de Banjul will rub shoulders with Gambia Ports Authority at Banjul’s KG5 Mini Stadium.

Real de Banjul was crowned champion last season, and will be fighting for a win against the ferry boys to fancy their chances of retaining the 2013-2014 league crown.

The ferry boys finished in third place last season, after a poor start to the season and will be placing for a win against the city boys and grab the vital three points.

Newly-promoted side Bombada United will meet Armed Forces at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Bombada United gained promotion to the top flight after their stunning performance in the second tier, and will be coming all out for a win against Armed Forces, so as to collect the maximum points to keep their hopes of staying in the top flight.

The security outfit will also be vying for a victory against Bombada United to secure the maximum point.

Elsewhere, Gamtel will play against Banjul in the other week one fixtures at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.

Both sides will be searching for a win, in order to stand a better chance of winning their first-ever league title.
