According to the GFF, the qualifiers will bring together teams from the West Coast Region, Kanifing Municipality, Banjul and the two relegated from second division last season namely, Sait Matty of Bakau and Blue Star of Serrekunda East, which will be vying for two places in the second tier.
Sait Matty and Blue Star were relegated after a dismal performance in the second tier last season, and will be hoping to win their games in the qualifiers to fancy their hopes of regaining promotion to the second division.
The Bakau and Serrekunda East-based outfits will face stiff competition from teams from West Coast Region, Kanifing Municipality and Banjul for promotion to the second division.
The two teams with highest number of points will gain promotion to the second division, and will be aiming to win their games to maintain themselves in the second tier.
