GFF 2nd Division Review

Young Africans will rub shoulders with KGI in the week five fixtures of the 2014-2015 Gambia Football Federation second division, today Thursday 12 February 2015 at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Young Africans are in 4th place in the league with 6 points in four games, and will be hoping to bounce back against KGI, after losing two games in a row, to keep their hopes of regaining promotion to the first division next season.

KGI are struggling in second place from bottom with 2 points in four games, and will be coming all-out for a win against Young Africans to grab the vital three points, in order to move away from the relegation zone.

Blue Star will play against Serrekunda Bi at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Blue Star and Serrekunda East Bi are mid-table, and will be playing to secure the maximum points to improve their positions in the league.

On Friday 13 February 2015, the newly-promoted side Immigration will host Seaview at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium. Immigration are languishing at the bottom with a single point in four games, after their 2-2 draw with Lamin United, and will be looking for their first win against Seaview to move away from the relegation zone.

League leaders Steve Biko will meet Tallinding United at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium. The Bakau giant killers are in the second tier with 12 points in four games after winning their four opening games, and will be aiming for a win against Tallinding United to extend their lead in the second tier and improve their chances of regaining promotion to the top flight next season, following their shock relegation to the second tier last season.

Elsewhere, Lamin United will battle it out with Samger at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium. Lamin United are mid-table with 4 points in four games, and Samger are 2nd place with 10 points in four games.
