Young Africans have maintained their unbeaten run in the 2013-2014 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) second division league thumping Sait Matty 4-1 in the week-four fixtures played at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium on Friday.
This victory has earned the Banjul-based outfit top spot in the country’s second tier and are also unbeaten since the start of the league in early March 2014.
They will be expecting to win their remaining games to keep their chances of regaining promotion to the premier tier following their relegation to the second tier after their dismal performance last season.
Bombada United also maintained their unbeaten record in the second tier after their 1-all draw with Tallinding United at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
Seaview beat Serrekunda East 1-0 at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium.
Lamin United drew goalless with KGI at the FIFA Goal Project in Old Yundum, while Serrekunda United also drew goalless with Blue Stars at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium.
Young Africans and Bombada United are occupying 1st and 2nd places respectively with 8 points each in four games.
Seaview are 3rd place with 7 points in four games, Serrekunda United are 4th place with 6 points in four games, while KGI are 5th place with 5 points in four games.
Tallinding United, Lamin United and Sait Matty are 6th, 7th and 8th places respectively with 4 points each but Lamin United and Sait Matty will play each other in their rescheduled week-two fixtures.
Blue Stars are 2nd place from bottom with 3 points in four games, while Serrekunda East are rooted at the bottom with only 2 points in four games.
