GFF 1st Division League review

Armed Forces will clash with Real De Banjul in the week-fourteen of the 2013-2014 Gambia Football Federation (GFF) division one league today, 30 April 2014, at the Banjul KG5 Mini Stadium.

Armed Forces are one place above relegation zone with 13 points in thirteen games and are bent on revenge after losing to city boys Real De Banjul in the first round, to improve their position on the league table.

Real De Banjul are 3rd with 22 points in thirteen games after six vital points were deducted from them by the GFF for using unqualified player during their fixtures against Brikama United and Bakau United in the first round at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium and Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Real De Banjul will be fighting for a win against Armed Forces to fancy their chances of winning the league title after failing to defend their 2011-2012 division one league crown last season.

Reigning champions Steve Biko will rub shoulders with Gambia Ports Authority at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Steve Biko are  also 9th place with 14 points in thirteen games and will be coming all out for a win against Gambia Ports Authority to keep their hopes of retaining their 2012-2013 GFF division one league crown.

Gambia Ports Authority are 5th place with 17 points in thirteen games and will be pushing hard for a victory against reigning league champions Steve Biko,  to keep their title ambition alive.

Elsewhere, Bakau United will welcome Hawks at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium. Bakau United are mid-table with 16 points in thirteen games and will be searching for a win to boost their hopes of staying in the top flight next season.

Hawks are also mid-table with 16 points in thirteen games and are hoping to bounce back after losing to Brikama United 2-1 in their week-thirteen fixture played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium.
