The President of the Gambia Football Association Seedy M. B Kinteh, has hailed the performance of The Gambia's women national team in the just concluded international friendly matches held in Dakar.
"The team has a bright start to the friendly matches in Dakar and many Gambian people were quite surprise with the respectable performance the Gambian team was able to put in place, despite their failed attempt to win in two matches," Kinteh told Pointsport yesterday.
"I am extremely delighted for the results of the two test matches they played during their One Week stay in Dakar, and more importantly, they have played against a team that has been participating in international competitions for quite a long time which could serve as an experience and international exposure for the team who are preparing to take part in the qualifiers of the Female World Championship, as well as the African championship," Kinteh highlighted.
