Gamtel FC will tomorrow, 1 March 2014 host Diffa El Jadida of Morocco in the first leg of the second and final round of the CAF Confederation Cup Qualifiers at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
A media release issued by GFF Media Officer Bakary B. Baldeh said: “The Gambia Football Federation announces that its affiliate Club Gamtel FC will host Diffa El Jadida of Morocco in the First Leg of the Second and Final Round of the CAF Confederation Cup Qualifiers on Saturday 1st March, 2014 at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama at 16:30pm.”
“The match will be the second for the Telecom giants after their successful three-nil aggregate win over the Armed Forces FC of Sierra Leone in the First Round,” added the release.
“The GFF urges all football fans to rally behind the country’s only representative in the CAF contest and solicits the prayers of every Gambian for Gamtel FC’s triumph over their North African opponents.
“The Local Organising Committee for the weekend game therefore calls on all to patronise the club by buying tickets at the gate as follows: VIP D50:00, Covered D25:00, Stands D15:00.”
The release concluded: “Thank you and wishing Gamtel/Gamcel good luck.”
