The telecommunication giants emerged champions after beating the blue boys by 10-9 on post-match penalty shootout following a goalless draw on regulation time.
The final was graced by Gambia Football Federation president Lamin Kaba Bajo, football stakeholders and a large number of fans.
As winners, Gamtel FC were rewarded with a giant trophy and D50,000 while runners-up Wallidan FC received D25,000 as consolation prize.
Shortly after the game, our reporter caught up with both coaches; first with Tapha Manneh, head coach of Gamtel FC, who said his aim and objective is to retain the Super Cup title and go international for excellent showcasing of the players.
He further thanked his boys for their good work, saying they had showcased their talents on the pitch.
Wallidan FC coach Foday Bah, for his part, cheered up his boys despite losing to Gamtel, and encouraged them to continue to be hard-working.
He described the Super Cup final as a test game for his side.
Asked about his team’s participation in the Confederation Cup, he said they are registered for the competition but were not sure if they would compete.
