Gamtel FC on 13 July 2013 beat Seaview FC 3-1 on post-match penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw, to lift the FA Cup title for four years consecutively.
The telecommunication giants took the lead through Hamang Conteh in the first period of the game but the hotel boys levelled the score in the second half taking the game which played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau to end 1all draw.
This resulted into penalty kicks which ended 3-1 in favour of Gamtel FC.
It would be recalled that Gamtel FC, who finished fourth position in this year’s GFF first division league, made it to the final after hammering second division side Serrekunda United 3-0 in the semi-final encounter played at the Box-Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
Seaview FC, who are relegated to the second tier league, it could be noted, advanced to the final after beating Young Africans FC 2-1 in their semi-final clash played at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul.
