While the association received a certificate for the most active and innovative National Sports Association in The Gambia by the Sports Journalists Association, the President of the association, a very active religious figure, was awarded Doctorate in Divinity by Arch-Bishop Richard Innocent, Africa Primate of Yeshua Embassy Network of Churches International, Philadelphia the U.S.A.
Dr Pastor Johnny Gomez received this award in a Thanksgiving service held on Sunday 1 December 2013 at the Gambia Pastoral Institute.
