Gambian business community invited to India trade mission

The business community in The Gambia has been urged to participate in an upcoming trade mission to India from 17 to 21 November 2014.

The Gambia Investment and Export Promotion Agency (GIEPA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment (MOTIE) and the Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), will field a trade and investment mission to India (New Delhi and Mumbai).

They are, therefore, calling on all interested businesspeople and companies in The Gambia to participate in the mission, according to a press release from GIEPA.

“Interested individuals or companies wishing to participate in the mission are requested to complete a Project Score Card (available from GIEPA) and submit their profiles to GIEPA no later than 3rd November 2014,” the release stated.

It added that the mission will be led by the Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment.

“The activities in India will include an investment forum to create a meeting point for both public and private sector operators in India to interact with the Gambian delegation, Business to Business (B2B) meetings as well as Government to Business (G2B) meetings,” the release added.
