The Gambia has unveiled a 28-man squad for the upcoming international friendly match against Mauritania, set for Friday 27 March 2015 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The national team under the guidance of coach Peter Bonu Johnson is currently on intensive training at the FIFA Goal Project premises in Old Yundum.
The Gambia and Mauritania will use the international game to prepare for the continent’s bi-annual African Nations Cup 2017 qualify rounds set for later this year.
The players currently training for the international match against Mauritania are as followed: Goalkeepers: Baka Ceesay (GAMTEL), Musa Jatta (Brikama Utd), Lamin Kandeh (Interior) and Christopher Allen (GPA).
Defenders: Sampier Mendy (GAMTEL), Daniel Mendy (Brikama Utd), Mass Manga (Hawks), Saikou Conteh (Steve Biko), Modou Jatta (Steve Biko), Nuha Barrow (GAMTEL), Samba Kujabi (Armed Forces), Ousman Cham (Banjul Utd), Alieu Ceesay (Hawks) and Pa Baboucarr Foon (Banjul Utd).
Midfielders: Sulayman Saho (Brikama Utd), Adama Jarju (GAMTEL), Kaba Sambou (Hawks), Abdoulie Bah (GPA), Lamin Chatty (Hawks), Ebrima Jobe (GAMTEL), Ebou Kanteh (Brikama Utd), Bully Drammeh (Brikama Utd), Modou Lamin Manneh (Wallidan) and Salifu Ceesay (GAMTEL).
