The Gambia National U-20 team yesterday left Banjul for Rabat ahead of their crucial 2017 African U-20 Youth Championship second round second leg tie with Morocco on Sunday 12 June 2016 in Rabat.

Coach Omar Sise’s charges hammered Bakau giant killers Steve Biko 4-0 in a warm-up tie played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Saturday prior to their departure to North Africa for their crunch clash with Young Atlas Lions this weekend, who were defeated 1-0 in the first leg on 21 May 2016 in Banjul.

Gambia will be hoping for a formidable performance against Morocco come Sunday to sail to the final round of the qualifiers after their slender 1-0 win in the first leg in Banjul last month.

Morocco need to beat The Gambia at least 2-0 to advance to the final round of the qualifiers after losing to The Gambia 1-0 in the first leg in Banjul last month.
