The Gambia U-19 Cricket team on Monday 2nd August 2010, arrived at the Banjul International Airport from Swaziland where they participated in the International Cricket Council (ICC) U-19 World Cricket Division 2 Qualifying round for Africa.
The Gambia U-19 Cricket team on Monday 2nd August 2010, arrived at the Banjul International Airport from Swaziland where they participated in the International Cricket Council (ICC) U-19 World Cricket Division 2 Qualifying round for Africa.
The Gambia U-19 Cricket team played their first game and lost to Nigeria, but won their second game against Mozambique, then later lost to Rwanda and Swaziland on their third and fourth games, respectively.
Nigeria emerged champions at the end of the competition with a remarkable unbeaten record of four straight wins and Rwanda as the runners-up, followed by Swaziland.
The Gambia and Mozambique finished at the bottom. Gambia's Lamin Touray received the man of the match award after their victory over Mozambique in their second game of the competition.
