Gambia senior national team; the Scorpions will host Democratic Republic of Congo in their first home fixture of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on 18 November, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4pm.

Coach Tom Saintfiet and his team will begin the continent’s biggest football showpiece qualifiers away to Angola on 13 November in Luanda.

The Scorpions will skirmish for revenge after slipping to the Angolans 3-1 on aggregate in the 2022 World Cup preliminary qualifiers last month.

Gambia needs to prepare themselves fit to win their qualifier matches to increase their hopes of making their debut appearance in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Scorpions failed in their previous attempts to qualify for the continent’s prestigious bi-annual biggest football gala following their woeful performance in the qualifiers.
